Bankruptcy Sale Approval Process

2/11/2021 Update: An overbid of $465,000 was filed with the court today. If you have not filed a bid with us, there is still time to enter a bid and be approved to bid during the court hearing on March 8.

A non-contingent, cash offer of $400,000 for the package of 10 properties and mobile homes has been submitted to the bankruptcy court for approval. However, you can still bid on this property.

Per bankruptcy court rules, the offer is subject to objections by creditors or higher bids by other bidders until Friday, February 26, 2020 at 5:00 PM.  If no higher bids are received, bidding will close.

If higher bids are received by the time above, then bidding will be extended until the court scheduled hearing date. The hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 8, 2021.

To be approved to bid on this property, bidders must make a $20,000.00 deposit by cashiers check or wire transfer in order to bid. Once the deposit is received, you will be approved to bid. (This deposit matches the deposit made in the initial offer, so everyone is on the same level.)

If you are the winning bidder, the deposit will be applied toward your purchase price. If you are not the winning bidder, then your deposit will be refunded to you.

Note: The scheduled hearing will likely be held by telephone conference call. Historically, hearings have been in person, but due to the pandemic, all hearings have recently been held by telephone.
