Terry Howe & Associates, Inc. is a trusted real estate auction company with decades of experience helping clients sell property with confidence. Founded in 1984, our company has grown from retail and equipment liquidations into one of the region’s most experienced auction firms, with licensed real estate agents and auctioneers in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

Our client list includes individuals, estates, families, investors, corporations, banks, attorneys, business owners, bankruptcy trustees and governmental agencies. We have sold foreclosed homes for the United States Department of Agriculture and sold thousands of tax-seized properties for multiple counties in South Carolina and Georgia.

We sell all types of real estate, including single-family homes, vacant lots, acreage, estates, distressed properties, and tax-seized properties. Since 2018, we have sold more than 200 properties each year through online auctions, serving individuals, families, investors, banks, attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, government agencies, and counties across South Carolina and Georgia.

While we are known as auctioneers, we do so much more. We help clients understand their options, resolve complex property matters, and choose the best path forward. Whether a property involves probate issues, bankruptcy, delinquent taxes, foreclosure pressure, or a straightforward sale, our goal is simple: handle the process with experience and care while achieving the strongest results for our clients.

Probate Experience
We specialize in difficult probate issues. We are often recommended by attorneys to help resolve probate matters involving real estate, personal property, and multiple interested parties. In many cases, our role is to help turn complicated assets into cash so they can be divided equitably.

Our team has assisted estates involving title issues, lienholder problems, partition actions, property divisions, unknown heirs, and uncooperative parties. We approach these situations with patience, professionalism, and a clear understanding of the sensitive nature of estate matters.

Bankruptcy Experience
At Terry Howe & Associates, Inc., we have extensive experience assisting Chapter 7 trustees with asset valuation and sales. Trustees rely on our team to evaluate debtor assets, identify equity, and determine the best path to maximize value for unsecured creditors.

Because bankruptcy cases often involve incomplete records or complex asset issues, we take our time to ensure assets are assessed and valued accurately. From there, we help trustees determine whether a traditional listing or an auction is the most effective way to sell real estate and personal property assets. In many cases, an auction provides the same or better net result as a traditional sale while offering a faster, more efficient process.

Our bankruptcy experience includes the sale of homes, acreage, subdivisions, distressed properties, industrial sites, vehicles, business equipment, office furniture, and other assets.

Receivership Experience
As court-appointed receivers, we manage and protect real estate during legal proceedings involving abandoned properties, foreclosure preparation, or judgment enforcement. Our responsibilities include inspecting and securing properties, developing a court-approved plan of action, and overseeing the property until the case is closed.

In receivership cases, we have handled duties such as managing rental properties, dealing with tenants, reviewing financial records, selling properties, and carrying out other responsibilities.

Delinquent Tax Property Experience
Terry Howe & Associates, Inc. has sold tax-forfeited properties for multiple counties in South Carolina and Georgia. Our work helps counties return properties to productive use and place them back on the tax rolls.

For most counties, we conduct initial auctions for properties acquired over multiple years, followed by annual auctions for newly acquired properties. Because of our experience and results in delinquent tax property sales, several counties have also asked us to consult on other government-owned properties needing to be sold.
